Native Self is an agentic AI fluency coach. You write, and she reads what you wrote against everything else you have ever written, builds a profile of how you actually use the language, and then goes and does something about it. Not fifty corrections: one habit at a time, the one costing you the most right now, with real material and real practice built around it. Her name is Carolina, and she is the whole product. You talk to her, and the coaching runs behind the conversation.

What she notices

Nine entries in, she has your file: you open 60 percent of sentences with the subject, you reach for "importante" where a native would pick "clave" or "de peso", and you have never once used the subjunctive after an expression of doubt. None of that is visible in any single thing you wrote.

Serious adult learners who use the language for something that matters. Professionals presenting, negotiating, or managing in a second language. Researchers and graduate students writing and defending in one. People sitting a B2 or C1 exam who need real range rather than test tricks. Anyone living a whole life in a language that still makes them sound like a smaller version of themselves. It is tuned for B2 and C1 and up, because that is where the gap between who you are and how you sound is widest, and where ordinary language apps stop having anything to say.

Yes. Nothing here assumes you are advanced, it just assumes you are serious. She reads your level from your own writing and coaches at it, so a beginner gets clear, level-appropriate work on the things that will actually move them, not nitpicking on a sentence they were brave to attempt. The method is the same at every level: find the one habit holding you back, build practice around it, watch whether it sticks. That works as well on a present-tense mistake as it does on a stylistic tic.

A chatbot waits to be asked and answers the message in front of it. Carolina decides, then acts. In a single run she diagnoses the recurring patterns across your whole history, prioritises the one worth fixing today, searches the live web for a real article in your target language, finds a recent real video that uses the exact structure you avoid, and generates a practice set grounded in what is actually happening in your week. You asked for none of those steps individually.

One run, unprompted

Diagnose: "sin embargo" is doing the work of four different connectors. Prioritise: that, over your article errors, because it is what makes you sound written rather than spoken. Find: a Spanish podcast clip from last week using "eso si", "ahora bien" and "dicho esto" in ninety seconds. Practise: rewrite the email you are sending your team tomorrow, three times, without "sin embargo".

Everything you write goes into a persistent fluency profile: overused connectors, phrasings translated straight from your first language, grammar you quietly avoid, discourse moves that read as blunt or stiff, domains where your range collapses. She reasons over that profile every time, so she is not reacting to today, she is reacting to the pattern. She also tracks what happened after she intervened, which habits broke and which crawled back, and picks tomorrow out of that. This is the part that compounds: on day one she knows one thing about you, by day sixty she knows you.

Memory at work

Week two she flags that you avoid the conditional. Week five you are using it, so she moves on. Week nine it disappears again the moment you write about anything technical, and she catches that, because she is comparing you to you, not to a textbook.

Indirectly, and honestly. This is not exam prep: no past papers, no scoring rubrics, no test strategy. What it does build is the thing those exams are actually measuring, range and control, the ability to structure an argument, hedge, concede a point, shift register, and use the grammar you have been avoiding. Examiners reward exactly the qualities Carolina works on. If you want drilled test technique on top of that, get it elsewhere.

Those teach a language from the outside in: a fixed syllabus, vocabulary, streaks, points, the same lessons for everyone. They are built to get you to the point where you can hold a conversation. This starts from what you personally write and works on what personally holds you back, which is a different problem and needs a different tool. No streaks, no points, no cartoon rewards for showing up.

A grammar checker fixes the sentence in front of it and knows nothing about you. A general chatbot starts from zero every time you open it, which is why neither has ever caught the habit you have had for nine years, and why neither has ever told you which habit to work on first. Carolina keeps the file and acts on it without being prompted. You could get a good answer out of ChatGPT by asking exactly the right question every day for six months. The point is that you should not have to.

A few minutes. She tells you the one thing to work on and why it is that one. Around it she puts real material: an article published in your target language with a gloss in your own, a recent video that uses the structure in the wild, and a short practice set built from your actual week rather than a textbook. You write, she responds, and what you wrote becomes tomorrow's input. It is a loop, not a course.

Writing is the diagnostic surface, because that is where your patterns are legible and where you have the time to reach for the thing you would normally dodge. But every exercise is designed for speech: write, rewrite, read aloud, reuse. The goal is not a good paragraph, it is that the phrasing is available to you at conversation speed, in the meeting, at the dinner table, under pressure.

Today: English, Spanish, French, Italian, Portuguese, German, Dutch. Every one is typeable on an ordinary keyboard, and the writing surfaces put the accented characters one tap away. More come as the typing experience is solved for them.

It is stored against your account so your coach can remember it, and that is the only thing it is for. You can delete it. It is not sold, and it is not used to train models.

It is in build. Joining gets you one email the day Carolina can take you on, and nothing else in the meantime. You will know the price long before anyone asks you for one.
